This is the second year for the FVDBC Youth Dragon Boat Team. Last year saw the team compete in the Burnaby High School Dragon Boat Regatta (finishing 3rd in their division) and come out to enjoy themselves at the Community Challenge. This year coach Ian Paul is looking to expand the season and allow the team to compete in up to three regattas. This would include Bill Alley Memorial, Community Challenge and Rio Tinto (Alcan).

The club is hard at work recruiting for the new season. We are looking for 22 to 28 teenagers (minimum of 8 girls - mandatory) between the ages of 13 and 18 (attending school) to join one of the fastest growing water sports in the world. You to can enjoy the excitement and adrenaline that is Dragon Boat racing. Anyone can try it, anyone can succeed. All you need is some heart and a will to learn.
