The Fraser Valley Dragon Boat Club is currently gearing up for the 2011 Dragon Boat season. We are expecting another great year of dragon boating. The boats are almost finished their annual maintenance and will be back on the water March 6th 2011. The annual cleaning bee has been set for February 19th at Chilliwack Engine and Auto. Our Recruitment Director is currently working on our Open House (date and time will be annouced shortly).

New Novice Team For 2011

Our club is looking to expand this year by starting a new novice team for 2011. We are wanting to fill the boat with new paddlers to the sport. We are holding an Open House on March 29th. 7:00PM at the Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre for potential new paddlers. The Open House will include a few words from the Executive, team captains and club members followed by a short video. We will finish the night with a Question and Answer session.

We will follow up the Open House with an Open Paddle April 9th at 12:00 noon on Harrison Lake. This free Open Paddle will consist of short dry land instruction followed by an on the water paddle.
