OC-6 Contest Winner

FVDBC would like to thank all the club members that participated in our Name The Boat Contest. A list of all the boat names (with Hawaiian translation) were presented to the Executive. To keep the voting process fair all entrants names were excluded from process. Preliminary voting widdled the long list of names down to the top four vote getters. A second vote was then taken to determine the Name The Boat winner.

The winning name and the new name of our Outrigger Canoe is AWAAWA 'UHANE which translates to Valley Spirit. The winning applicant was Scott Farrell. Congratulations to Scott for submitting a great name.

A special Thank You also goes out to Ian Paul for organizing the contest.

Plans for a naming ritual are in the works. Please check back for more details.
