 The Fraser Valley Dragon Boat Club is a Non-profit Society, established in 2002. The Society is committed to assisting and overseeing activities which will encourage, promote and develop teams within the Fraser Valley for the sole purpose of Dragon Boating.
Our efforts are to help all individuals (young and older) who have the desire to gain personal achievement, sportsmanship and good health through active participation in the sport of Dragon Boating.
Our season runs from March to October at the beautiful Harrison Lake. Please feel free to come out and join us as we work hard, paddle fast and have fun. |

 Crusaders bring home bling. Congratulations to the FVDBC teams that participated in the 2012 Deep Cove Dash yesterday. Crusaders, Mavericks and Pirates were all given 4 x 200 meter races throughout the day. Crusaders brought home a Silver medal placing 2nd in the B Finals. The Mavericks placed 4th in the B Final. The Pirates placed 1st in the B Consolation. What a great way to start the year. More fun to come throughout the season.

The Fraser Valley Dragon Boat Club Open Paddle scheduled for April 1st 2012 in Harrison Hot Springs has been postponed due to extreme weather conditions. An alternate date will be selected for the Open Paddle. Our Recruitment Director will make this information known to all perspective paddlers. Please look for updates on this website, Tweeter and our Facebook page. We do apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. The safety of all our paddlers, both experienced and novice, is parimount and the weather conditions were not favourable for a recreational paddle. FVDBC Recruitment Open House |

The 2012 Fraser Valley Dragon Boat Club Recruitment Drive has officially started. If you are interested in trying the fastest growing water sport in the world please read on. FVDBC currently has 7 teams (5 mixed teams, a Ladies Only team and Junior Team) that paddle on beautiful Harrison Lake. All the teams are looking to expand their rosters for the coming season. An Open House will be held March 27 2012 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm at the Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre. The Open House will include a short video followed by a question and answer period. An Open Paddle has been scheduled for April 1st from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on the main beach in Harrison Hot Springs. The Open Paddle will include some dryland instruction and a short paddle in one of our three Dragon Boats.
The sport of Dragon Boating is a true team sport open to all ages (Junior Team - 13 to 18, Mixed Teams 19 to 99, Senior Paddlers - 55+). The sport of Dragon Boating is also open to all levels of fitness and all levels of competitiveness. FVDBC teams range from veteran competitive to novice recreational.

The Fraser Valley Dragon Boat Club would invite you to mark your calenders. The 8th Annual Harrison Dragon Boat Regatta will be held Saturday, July 21st 2012 on the beautiful beaches of Harrison Hot Springs. Our event, in the middle of July, has become one of the Premier One Day events during the Dragon Boat season and we intend to keep it that way. Please check our website (www.harrisondragonboat.com) for more details on registration, entrance fees, etc. We look forward to paddling with you all in July.
